Under the Patronage of His Excellency the Mayor of the Holy Makkah… OSUS Signs a Memorandum of Understanding with Badan Pengelola Keuangan Haji (BPKH) at Markaz Al-Balad Al-Ameen to Strengthen International Partnerships and Develop Investment Opportunities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

OSUS has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Badan Pengelola Keuangan Haji (BPKH), the authority responsible for managing and investing Hajj funds in the Republic of Indonesia, to explore investment partnership opportunities in Makkah. The signing took place within the activities of Markaz Al-Balad Al-Ameen, which brings together leaders and investors to strengthen partnerships in the Hajj and Umrah sector.

The MoU was signed under the patronage of His Excellency the Mayor of the Holy Makkah, Mr. Musaed Al-Daoud, where OSUS was represented by Mr. Ahmed Al Qahtani, Group Chief Executive Officer, while BPKH was represented by Dr. Indra Gunawan, Member of the Executive Board and Chief Investment Officer, in the presence of senior representatives from both organizations.

The MoU aims to explore investment partnership opportunities and develop investments compliant with Islamic Shariah designed to generate sustainable returns. The collaboration will focus on developing projects in Makkah, prioritizing initiatives that enhance the experience of Hajj and Umrah pilgrims and expand capacity in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, reinforcing the Kingdom’s position as an attractive investment destination.

Abdullah Al Majed, Chairman of OSUS, said:
“This MoU marks a key step in strengthening Saudi–Indonesian collaboration in the Hajj and Umrah sector. Through our partnership with BPKH, we aim to develop Islamic Shariah-compliant investment assets that contribute to attracting investments into the Kingdom, serve pilgrims, and deliver sustainable long-term value.”

Dr. Indra Gunawan, Member of the Executive Board and Chief Investment Officer at BPKH, said:

“This partnership supports BPKH’s strategy to invest prudently in Shariah-compliant Islamic products in the Kingdom, delivering competitive returns while enhancing the quality of services for Indonesian pilgrims.

This MoU comes as part of OSUS’s strategy to expand its international partnerships and attract strategic investments, contributing to the development of high-quality projects that support the growth of the Hajj and Umrah sector and enhance the services provided to pilgrims.
